This policy explains how Koki Hair Braiding ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit www.kokihair.com or contact us. We keep things simple: this website has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

2. Data we process, and why

a) Visiting the website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you open any page, GitHub's servers technically receive your IP address to deliver the content and may keep short-term security logs. We do not have access to those logs and we set no cookies of our own. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

b) Preferences stored on your device

We store two small values in your browser's local storage: your chosen language (koki-lang) and your cookie choice (koki-consent). They stay on your device, contain no personal data and are not transmitted to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data.

c) Google Maps (only with your consent)

The maps in the "Locations" section are embedded from Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.). They load only after you allow them in the consent banner or click "Load map". When loaded, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies; data may be transferred to servers outside the EU. See the Google Privacy Policy. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

d) Contacting us on WhatsApp

Our booking works through WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd.). If you message us, we receive your phone number, profile name and message content, and we use them only to answer you and arrange your appointment. WhatsApp itself processes your data under the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. Legal basis: taking steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3. How long we keep data

WhatsApp conversations are kept only as long as needed to manage your appointments and reasonable follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g. accounting).

4. Who we share data with

Nobody, beyond the service providers named above (GitHub as host; Google only if you allow the maps; WhatsApp if you contact us there). We never sell personal data.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, contact us via the details in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Croatia, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

6. Photos on this website

The photographs in our gallery show work carried out by Koki Hair Braiding and are published with the consent of the people portrayed (or their legal guardians). If you appear in a photo and want it removed, contact us and we will take it down promptly.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the website evolves. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
